August 2010

Let me start by asking, are you a woman who feels most drawn to gray, black and khaki? What about fitted, loose pants, over-sized cardigans and slightly masculine coats that create a relaxed, yet very calculated ensemble, that sends out a message? If the answer to the above questions is yes, then Damir Doma’s F/W 2010 collection might just be for you. But if the answer is no, then Damir Doma’s latest collection might just make you want to change your mind about your style and the way you dress.

What I see as pretty genius, I think Damir Doma has created a very interesting collection for women for this season. It almost looks somewhat apocalyptic, which just makes it all the more fascinating. So without further a due, I let you dive into the mysterious and fascinating world of designer Damir Doma for his Ready-to-Wear Fall/Winter 2010 women’s collection. Enjoy!

We’ve reached the end of August once again, and the end of the summer as we know it. Summer is definitely one of my favourite seasons, but always at the end of it, I can’t help but feel a longing for Fall to start. But given that I love summer so much, I try to keep summer in my heart even when we’re in the winter months. And how do I do that? I enhance my style with some airy and fresh pieces. And what’s a better representation of summer than anything WHITE.

On the catwalk: At The Row

So come Fall and full-on winter, I’ll definitely be holding onto my whites, particularly when it comes to bottoms. The best way to wear white is to go for a loose-fitting white pant that never fails to amaze with its chicness and classiness. Loose white pants have a certain freshness to them, and they can make you look good at any time of the year. So forget about tight pants. Those days are gone. It’s time to loosen up!

I’m in the process of trying to get my hands on a watch that I’m totally captivated by. I don’t know what it is about this watch that caught my attention the most. Is it the simplicity of it? The practicality of it? Or maybe it’s the fact that it’s simplicity makes it so aesthetically [...]

I know it feels somehow strange to be thinking about next year’s trends, but you might just be surprised by the things that you see on the catwalk (good and bad). So I think you should definitely give it a chance, at least to be able to come to some sort of opinion about the [...]

Custo Barcelona SS 2011 Collection – Sneak-a-Peak

August 20, 2010
Custo Barcelona at Berlin Fashion Week

Custo Barcelona is the kind of brand that you either love or hate. Their use and mix of colours and patterns is not to everyones taste. I get that.  I used to belong to the latter group myself. Their collections just weren’t speaking to me at all. Until one day, not too long ago, I [...]

Style Tip of the Day: Sheer Lace with Stripes

August 20, 2010
Inima collection

I found a great new look by matching my black, sheer lace blouse with a stripe-top underneith. This cool combination creates a perfect balance using two pretty striking contrasts. The softness of the sheer and the sharpness of the stripes create a interesting mix that not only makes you look twice at the whole outfit, [...]
