Stylein is a Swedish fashion company, launched in 2001 by founder and head designer Elin Nyström, when she was living in New York. When she returned to her native Sweden in 2002, Stylein expanded and is today based in Elin Nyström’s hometown, Gothenburg, on the west coast of Sweden. Here you can also find the home of Stylein’s official concept store.
From the very first time I laid my eyes on one of Stylein’s creations, I knew that there was something special about this brand. So I decided to dig a little deeper and read a bit more about the designer, the brand and the philosophy behind it. I like to be as informed as possible of the designers who’s clothes I find intriguing in order to come to a more leveled understanding of what makes the brand so good and whether or not I see it as worth the physical and financial investment of going about acquiring an item from their collection.
I have to say that I do like the clothes that Stylein creates. I was particularly captivated by many of the items in their latest Spring/Summer 2011 collection that included lots of long skirts and dresses. I’ve always loved long, flowing dresses, so this collection was really to my taste. For a full commentary of the line, I should have been at Stockholm Fashion Week, but due to circumstances, this just has to do.
I am definitely interested in contacting the company in order to enquire a bit more about particular pieces. And as I spotted on their website, Stylein is available in selected stores in Belgium, Canada, Cyprus, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Holland, Italy, Ireland, Japan, Norway, Russia, South Korea, Spain, UK and USA. So I will definitely find out where in Spain I can get my hands on some of these gorgeous dresses. I’m sold.
