Originally a look sported by actual monks, and later on by laymen, double monk strap shoes are now seeing a real comeback. And with a style so eternal and classic, why not let women take a crack at it as well?
In case you’re digging this look (as much as I am — and not just for the double monk strap shoes), I urge you to start warming up to the idea of double monks, leave aside the idea that they are, let’s face it, men’s shoes, and start embracing your femi-masculine side.
And if you’re really brave…
FYI, these shoes are for men, but with a small enough size also a woman could get away with buying a pair. Why not? At least I could.

yes they look quite masculine… But on the model they look great.
I just signed up to your blogs rss feed. Will you post more on this subject?
And if you take a women’s 36, what are your options? Who does women’s monk shoes?
There are plenty of makers of women’s monk shoes. The best option might be to search online. But if you’re finding it difficult to get your hands on women’s monk shoes, you could also keep your eyes open for men’s shoes and shoemakers as they tend to make small enough sizes that easily match women’s sizes.
My cousin recommended this blog and she was totally right keep up the fantastic work!
Thank you for your site! I really like what you’re doing here.
