About StyleCatcher

July 5, 2010

Hi, I’m Emma.

I’m a freelance writer and translator. During my life I’ve lived in many countries around Europe, Paris being my latest home where I spent the last three years exploring the ville des lumières et de l’amour (city of lights and love). In those three years my life has seen the biggest changes: I got married, moved from one country to another and had two beautiful children. But two things remained: my passion for writing and my curiosity towards new things.

StyleCatcher came from the idea of wanting to capture and immortalize many of today’s styles and looks in different corners of the world. My aim is to capture a part of that beauty from my own surroundings. While my blog started out mainly as a Fashion blog, it has gradually evolved and moved on to an area that interests me even more: Style and design. Whether it’s with apparel, decor or architecture, I always keep an eye out for new inspiration, and I want to capture some of that magic and store it for times to come.

And if there’s something I’ve learnt over the years, it’s that while fashion is here one day and gone the next, style is eternal. All you need to do is open yourself to the beauty that surrounds you.
